Email Marketing
WIf you’re going to hire an emarketing expert to promote your website, there’s much more that they can do to ensure that people find and remember your site.
One of the greatest gifts emarketing has is email. You, together with your web designer or web design agency can create interactive campaigns using music, graphics and videos. You can send all of these things via email. You could also hold regular competitions or send games and quizzes to your customers that relate to your site.
On a very basic level, it’s a lot easier to email all of your customers than it is to print off and post a mall shot. You can tell them all of your business’ latest news with the simple click of the “send” button.
Why not tell your customers about events happening in the future, ask for their opinions, or even invite them to participate in surveys etc that might be of use to your business?
If you have an online shop it’s particularly useful to invite your customers to fill out other optional details when they complete their billing address etc. For example, you could ask them for their age, occupation and interests. This can help you to improve your service by offering things that will appeal specifically to them or even give you ideas about how you could redesign your website to attract your market or to seek out a new market.
You could also buy banner space on the bottom or top of other businesses emails and have a banner ad designed specifically by your web design agency. Find something that fits in with your company profile or will compliment the product you are offering. For example, if you make and design car seat covers why not try to purchase space on the email shot of a car designer.
Don’t forget that many email addresses are set up so that they don’t except junk email or spam. This means that you must include a subject heading and use the persons address in the “to” section and your own in the “from” area of the email. In addition it is worth remembering that sending emails without the recipient’s consent can leave you open to court action as this is against the law.
